The summer 2008 is about to vanish and fall stands on the door steps. In Sommerfuglen we clearly feel that knitting and embroidery needles are about to be warmed up for the coming season. Therefore it is a special treat to present some of our latest news and offers.

The yarn is wonderful for both socks and lace projects and the hand dyed striping is beautiful with a strong lustre. Since the yarn is handmade, there are areas that are thick/loose and areas that are thin/tight – a yarn with personality!

Only one skein is needed for a pair of socks having 420 m/462 yards on each 100 gram skein. Knits to a regular 4ply sock pattern. Cold hand wash.

The tweed yarn is perfect for light garments with textural effects, domino knitting, shadow knitting and fair-isle knitting. The subtle shadings and beautiful fleck also make this yarn perfect for felting.
