The inspiration for this model came from a woollen bridal skirt bordered by a wide silk ribbon. The fine motif of leaves of the skirt forms the surface pattern, while the silk ribbon creates the border. The sleeves and the shoulders are completed with a pointed edge. The sweater is also published in Solvejg Hisdal's book, Poetry in Stitches.
