The designer of this bridal jacket, Solvejg Hisdal, was inspired by seeing a pale blue and white silk chest cloth from Hardanger Folkemuseum. The chest cloth is decorated in velvet ribbons, glass beads, gold thread and silver thread. Pale blue and white is used for the main pattern, while the golden touch is expressed in the beaded border at the edge of the sleeves. The design is published in Solvejg Hisdal's book, Poetry in Stitches, now discontinued.
