The Danish Flower Thread from Haandarbejdets Fremme is known all over the world for its smoothness and the flattering soft look it adds to the embroidery.

Danish Flower Thread is coloured from inspiration of plant-colours. The 102 mutually matching shades available give the design the attractive naturalistic yet textile effect.
They are colored in a way that makes them light- and washgenuine. 20 m/skein.

The colour-master, who was helpfull in finding these particular colours, was Einar Hansen from Vejle. The succesfull work with Haandarbejdets Fremme, which was started in 1929, is still there. His colours are still basic for the beatifully shades that are characteristic for the Danish Flower Thread.

The name - Dansk Blomstergarn - was chosen as a tribute to the painter and weaver Gerda Bengtsson, who is the designer of the well-known flower embroideries from Haandarbejdets Fremme.
